Live - where others spend their holiday

Wengen- a quality location

Travelling by cog-wheel train from Lauterbrunnen, it takes just 15 minutes to reach the world-renowned resort of Wengen. The picturesque mountain village lies at about 1'250m above sea level on an idyllic sun plateau with views of the surrounding Bernese Alps and Lauterbrunnen Valley. The village has approx. 1'300 inhabitants and offers a comprehensive range of infrastructure with supermarkets, various sports and specialist shops, as well as numerous restaurants and bars.

In winter

Amongst other things, Wengen has made its name as the location of the Lauberhorn Races: Every year during the second weekend in January, several tens of thousands of skiing enthusiasts hit the slopes and transform the village into a concourse of events that take place over several days.
Less ambitious holidaymakers can also find optimum conditions for practising winter sports in Wengen and its surrounding skiing regions of Männlichen or Kleine Scheidegg. The Jungfrau region, which comprises four skiing regions (Grindewald-First, Kleine Scheidegg, Männlichen, Mürren & Schilthorn), offers over 200km of ski-runs, approx. 100km of tobogganing runs and winter hiking trails, a range of marked snowshoe hiking trails and various snow parks for snowboarders.

In summer

A true Alpine idyll: Take a walk and discover the lush alpine meadows and clear mountain lakes which reflect the impressive mountain scenery. Enjoy local culinary specialities in the many alpine restaurants and huts. The Jungfrau region, which is easily accessible by bus, chair lift or gondola, offers an unbelievable range of leisure activities in the ‘snow-free’ months: 500 kilometres of hiking trails; 160 kilometres of mountain bike trails; themed trails for families with children; adventure sports; climbing and Alpine touring regions; waterfalls and much more.
